Yesterday’s tour was marked by a stunning interplay of weather, showcasing the serene beauty of Montenegro’s coastline on a tranquil sunny day in late August.
Our first notable stop was the charming town of Perast. Here, we offered our guests the opportunity to stroll through its historic streets and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Perast, with its baroque architecture and tranquil seascape, provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation and exploration.
Continuing our journey, we glided past the enchanting island of Our Lady of the Rocks. This man-made island, with its picturesque church and museum, tells a story of centuries-old maritime tradition and devotion, captivating our guests with its lore and beauty.
This transformation has sparked controversy and debates among the public, highlighting the complex interplay of history, memory, and modern development. Our guests were intrigued by this juxtaposition of past and present, as the serene waters of the Adriatic contrasted sharply with the fort’s tumultuous history.
Before reaching the Blue Cave, we passed by the abandoned submarine tunnels. These eerie, long corridors, now in ruins, are a fascinating sight for our more adventurous tourists. Peering from the boat into the dark, hollow interiors filled with crystal-clear sea water, our guests were treated to a glimpse of hidden history. For the thrill-seekers among them, the opportunity to dive from the 10-meter-high tunnel openings into the deep blue was an exhilarating highlight.
Our final destination, the Blue Cave, did not disappoint. Its mesmerizing blue waters, illuminated by the sun, offered a tranquil yet awe-inspiring experience. The cave’s natural beauty and the play of light on its waters left an indelible mark on our guests, rounding off a day of diverse and profound experiences.
