We can start our trip from the dock that's easiest for you, maybe close to your place or somewhere else we pick together. I'll be right there with you.

I know these waters very well, so I can make sure our trip is not only about seeing new things but also keeping you safe. That's the most important thing for me.

As we move across the clear blue waters of Kotor Bay, I'll tell you about all the history and culture of this area. You'll get to learn how people here lived from old times until now. Maybe we'll see some old Roman mosaics, ancient drawings, or just enjoy the views of the coastline. It depends on what you're interested in.

If you like fishing, I guarantee you won't leave empty-handed.

I've got all the gear you'll need to catch fish, and I'll be right there to give you some tips and help out. For the kids, we'll make sure they have a good time and learn something too.

When we're heading back, I'll clean the fish for you on the boat. That way, you can cook them how you like once you're back home.

If you'd rather not cook, I can get a local restaurant to prepare your fish for you. It's a great way to see how the locals live and to eat some really fresh seafood.

Besides fishing, there's swimming and looking around, and we might even see dolphins or sea turtles. Kotor Bay is full of surprises, and I'm here to make sure you have an amazing time.

I was visiting Kotor with my family and we booked fishing tour with Ivan as my son loves fishing! We had such a great time in gorgeous bay of Kotor! We were here as a 2 in October. Ivan was amazing! He put on a private tour for us that included fishing, snorkelling around a Yugoslavian warship wreck, and a 6 metre cliff jump. We went at 7am and the bay was so calm, the water was glassy and clear. Ivan obviously knows what he’s doing and was a great teacher - we caught 17 fish that we enjoyed for lunch and dinner afterwards. On the way back to Dobrota we even saw massive tuna jumping out of the water. A 10/10 experience well worth the money, we cannot recommend enough!

We were on a cruise and this was by far our favourite day because of this boat tour. Ivan was fantastic from the moment I first messaged him to book. Originally we had booked to have lunch at a mussel farm but Ivan suggested the winery on a pontoon, this was incredible and highly recommended.

Captain Ivan took us on an amazing 4 hour tour… he’s so knowledgeable about all of the history of the local area and brought us to some very cool spots, like Lady of the Rock, a floating wine bar and some awesome places to swim and snorkel. And very reasonably priced! Highly recommend Captain Ivan!

Fantastic private boat tour of the bay. Ivan grew up in the area and knows it's heritage well, the tour was fascinating and fun, also being taken to a floating wine bar where the wine is aged underwater.Ivan provides some refreshments which with the heat is appreciated.Amazing experience for our honeymoon and someone we wouild highly recommend. It tops it off that he' a genuine and decent gentleman too.Thanks again Ivan!

Had an amazing experience with Ivan! We had a group of 10 guys and Ivan showed us the best places in Kotor bay, including the Blue Cave, a ship wreck, a great place for cliff jumping and a nice lunch place. We took a 6 hour tour of the bay with Captain Ivan and it was one of the best parts of our Balkans roadtrip.He is very professional, and at the same time extremely present and a very cool guy! His recommendations for things to see and do in Montenegro are also not to be missed.The tour itself is amazing . We went fishing with Ivan and it was a wonderful experience. He is a great guy - very patient, passionate and fun to spend time with. Both us and our kids had a lot of fun learning how to fish while catching a bag full of fresh and delicious food we ate for dinner. Ivan speaks great English and quickly replies on WhatsApp. Boat was clean and spacious. Equipped with small toilet. We asked if our kids can get a life jackets and Ivan provided them, so we didn’t need to worry they will fell over board. He offered soft drinks for kids along with Rakija for adults. Great tour, recommend 100%!

I was looking for a fishing trip on my montenegro tour and Ivan was recommended by Tripadvisor. He catched me right away from the very first images on google, since he looks very sympatico and authentic, like as one might imagine a real boat captain! I actually booked a 3 hours fishing trip but in the end i received nearly 4 hours.And I enjoyed every minute!First I expected to be in a group with other people since i could not imagine to be alone, especially considering the very fair price of 50 EUR per hour + 20 for baits. But for my suprise, i had spent nearly 4 hours alone with Captain Ivan!We started at 5 AM in the morning from Dobrota. That early might feel uncomfortable for some people but really is worth it, since you feel having the whole bay for you alone. Including silence and pleasant temperatures in these warm summer days. Thats a real magical atmosphere, especially if you look how busy the bay is on later hours ...Ivan provided a very good rakija, drinks and some homemade food and we talked about everything and anything, so that even 8 would feel way much too short ...Everything for fishing is prepared and the captain does also prepare your catch. You don't need anything to bring with you, except sunscreen. Even a toilet is on board.You will quickly realize, Ivan is really experienced and knows the best spots. He is always trying to provide you the best chances to get a nice catch and is very patience even if you are some slow-responder like me regarding reaction times^^At the end of the day I catched a lot of smaller fishes which Ivan organized to be cooked in a restaurant near the pick-up place. I definitely would recommend doing this, since the price is very fair and you also get a side dish with it. The fish was very delicious!In the end i can say: This was probably the best experience on my 2 weeks montenegro trip. If you wanna have a local experience with real local people offside the overcrowded trourist spots, definitely hire Ivan!He lives for his dream and that is what you can feel in every minute spending with him.When i come back to montenegro, a second boat/fishing tour is already on my list :)Captain Ivan, thank you for this great experience!

Rating for the 4h fishing trip:We booked a four-hour fishing trip with Ivan during our vacation in the Bay of Kotor.The contact beforehand was fast, uncomplicated and friendly.The trip itself was fantastic.Ivan picked us up at the hotel and was very friendly and explained everything about the bay and the area.Arriving at the first spot he showed my wife how to fish and seconds later she caught the first fish of her life. It was to be the biggest fish of the day for hours as well.We fished several spots and caught enough fish for us and Ivan.Our part Ivan brought to a restaurant where we later got them prepared very tasty.So what can I say, perfect captain and perfect trip. What an amazing experience! My husband and I had a blast fishing, laughing and enjoying the gorgeous scenery with Captain Ivan! He’s such an easy going, friendly, funny guy with fantastic information and stories that spending time with him was just as much fun as fishing. We caught quite a few fish and he even helped us drop some off to a nearby restaurant to prepare lunch for us. Our early morning started off with some crazy fog but just added to our cool experience! The delicious rakija at 7:00am helped keep us warm too. 🙂 Don’t hesitate in going fishing or sightseeing with Captain Ivan!!

The cruise was the highlight of our trip to the Montenegro. The captain was not only a great guide but also a nice person who told us stories about the wide area surrounding the places we passed.At the same time, he constantly assured us that everything was possible; if we wanted to stop or do anything else, there would be no problem. Definitely it was the best way to explore Kotor Bay. Captain Ivan is very friendly, he told me a lot nice stories and legends about the places which we passed. Explained to me history of Montenegro.He is a man who loves and respect nature. Also he recommended to me fews restaurants with best food.My advice to you guys if you wanna rent boat in Kotor, is to not book any commercial tours on speedy boat, because is not comparison to Captain Ivan!If you want to really feel this place...this is the best option in Kotor :)One more time thank you Captain Ivan!

We had such a great time on Captain Ivan's fishing trip - a 6am start was recommended and we are so glad we did this as seeing the bay of Kotor at this time was pretty magical, so quiet and peaceful with the sun coming up and the water so still. Ivan was relaxed and professional, telling us all about growing up in the area with some history as well as about the fishing in the area. We saw pods of sardines and a turtle and caught 20 fish, both red bream and snapper!! It was great to go on a smaller boat trip as it felt much less like a commercial tourist trip. Would recommend to everyone even if you haven't tried/are less keen on fishing as it was a fantastic experience being close to nature in breathtaking scenery. Thank you Ivan!

It is a shame I can only give 5 stars -- fishing with Captain Ivan was such a wonderful experience and definitely a highlight of our trip to Montenegro so far. Firstly he was extremely easy to reach via WhatsApp and responded within a few minutes. His boat was very professional, with a sun deck in front and rest area/toilet below, and provided some drinks/snacks which was a nice touch. We managed to catch around 15 sizeable fish during the afternoon, all while he spent a lot of time sharing his knowledge of fishing in the bay and told us many stories about the country..We hope to return in future.
